Dr. Ken Schoolmeester  - 1976 graduate of Ohio State University

He has the distinction of graduating in the top 5 percent of his class. After graduation he moved to Greensboro, NC where he began his practice of pet animal medicine and surgery. In 1978 he started Guilford-Jamestown Veterinary Hospital, which became one of the largest in the area. With over 25 years of experience he enjoys all aspects of pet animal medicine. His special interests include dermatology, geriatrics, and preventative health care. In 1999 he sold his hospital and moved to Charlotte to open Stonecrest Veterinary Clinic.

He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, and the Academy of Small Animal Medicine.

Dr. Lori Sanderson  - 1998 graduate of Michigan State University

She began her practice of pet animal medicine and surgery in Greensboro, NC.  Prior to earning her degree in Veterinary Medicine, she worked for the Environmental Protection Agency in New York City as a field agent dealing with the water quality of Niagara Falls.  Her special interests include ophthalmology, surgery, and pediatrics.  She moved to Charlotte in 1999 to start Stonecrest Veterinary Clinic.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Academy of Small Animal Medicine.

Dr. Pat Gillis - 1981 graduate of Oklahoma State University

 

He has the distinction of graduating in the top 10 percent of his class.  He completed an internship, residency and graduate school at Texas A&M.  Dr. Gillis taught equine surgery at Mississippi State University, University of Illinois and Auburn University.  He moved to Charlotte in 1997.  He joined Stonecrest Veterinary Clinic in 2006.  His special interests include surgery and wound management.

 

He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association.

 

Dr. Lisa Shaw - 1995 graduate of North Carolina State University-College of Veterinary Medicine

 

She began her small animal practice in Boston, Massachusetts.  After leaving Boston she began teaching anatomy at NCSU-CVM.  She continued in private practice and emergency work, relocating to Charlotte in 2001.  In 2004 she became certified in canine rehabilitation.  She joined Stonecrest Veterinary Clinic in 2006.  Her interests include surgery, geriatric and emergency medicine and rehabilitation.

 

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association.
